"The Laguna Arcoiris is located in the Conguillio National Park, located in the Araucanía Region, Chile. The formation of this lagoon dates back 320 years, due to the eruption of the Llaima volcano which dammed up the waters of a stream with its lava, flooding part of a Nothofagus forest. Charred trunk remains can still be observed due to the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Lagoon in the Conguillio National Park which lies as Penitents in the water
