ITADAKIMASU The term culinary hedonism fits perfectly with the Japanese philosophy of food preparation and consumption. It is not without reason that in 2013, washoku was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List as an intangible heritage of the Japanese. Washoku is a combination of knowledge, traditions and skills related to the production, processing and consumption of food. The series of photographs Itadakimasu tells the story of people gathered around the table or places where meals are prepared. It is a subtle insight into the privacy we may encounter in public places.
