A sudden silence signals the beginning of grief. A grief filled with memories and recollections of the glee of childhood and the angst of a teenager whose brilliant mind is interrupted and punctuated by mental illness. Gwyneth knows the sorrow of losing a child. She embraces the memories knowing they sustain the presence of her son and the completeness of her family. The memories evoke laughter as she recalls her young son's delight.Also, they allow her to move forward without forgetting or getting lost in the "what if's". The laughter gives way to tears, and tears merge into smiles.
I am a Fine Art photographer interested in storytelling, curiosity, and a lifelong desire to explore the world visually. After raising five children and living many roles—daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, widow, and partner—I discovered photography later in life. Nine years ago, my partner gave me my first camera, and in 2020 we transformed an old woodworking shop into my studio. Since then, I have dedicated myself to learning, experimenting, and creating work that reflects the stories I’ve carried for decades.
