I was gifted a camera 6 years ago and since then Eliza,Sara,Avery and Lucy have told stories with me. Our focus has been to tell stories of friendship and growing up in today's world. I believe that every parent's and grandparent's worry is what the young people see and hear and how they interpret the world around them. Every instinct tells us to protect them from our perceived evils and steer them toward our perceived truth. But they have inquiring minds and independent spirits. Each one different, each one ready for the road ahead and finding their own truths. Apple represents knowledge.
I am a Fine Art photographer interested in storytelling, curiosity, and a lifelong desire to explore the world visually. After raising five children and living many roles—daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, widow, and partner—I discovered photography later in life. Nine years ago, my partner gave me my first camera, and in 2020 we transformed an old woodworking shop into my studio. Since then, I have dedicated myself to learning, experimenting, and creating work that reflects the stories I’ve carried for decades.
