Mantis is distributed worldwide. In their natural environment, they remain in an upright posture with forearms folded as if they are praying. Because of this, they are also called praying mantis. Their long life is about one year, and after copulation, females eat the young male. The female lays 10 to 400 eggs. They are found in tropical regions. Mantises have large triangular heads, elongated bodies, compound eyes and antennae. They look like stick insects camouflaged to protect and confuse the predator.
