As kayak guide at the Channel Islands National Park, I'm always keeping my eyes open for potential photos for after work. I noticed these seaside daisies clinging to a cliff. Later on I had several other kayakers paddle into the frame with Scorpion Rock in the background. The California brown pelicans flying were a bonus.

He’s been a beach lifeguard there for 30 years and has led kayak tours at the Channel Islands National Park since 1998.
