Ukrainian soldiers from an intelligence unit conduct a monitoring operation to keep track of Russian soldiers’ movement, in a grey area close to frontlines in Donetsk, Ukraine, May 2022, amid Moscow’s invasion. As Russian soldiers want to occupy more of the Donbass region, these Ukrainian soldiers have been risking their lives to protect the soils of Ukraine. For them, the only thing on a daily wish list is coming back alive. Despite potential threats, 22 year-old photojournalist Daniel Ceng followed their frontline operations, and visited their secret base where NLAWs are stored.
