My work explores identity through shadows and lights. The concept of this work was to showcase these amazing figures of women in the space of liberation and empowerment. These women in my work all have dual cultural identities. Born in one country or to immigrants from a country (Latin America) and living in another country(USA). The Light and Shadows reveal part of themselves but hide other parts. There is a sense of freedom of thy self, but one must get closer to see or understand their hidden self and their being. Understanding that their identity is not singular but multifacet.
