What if you were a Changeling? My sense of being a Changeling appeared to be a universal feeling, so I decided to create a fictive life. I found that memories are playing tricks on us, they distort the specific elements of gender, location, who was involved. In this project ‘Changeling’ I captured memories by playing with the concept of time, space and scale within an imaginary life. My Changeling is about selective memory, it's a story with holes. Even if you do not find what exactly fits, you immediately know that something does not fit.
After finishing both Art Academy HKU and the Photo Academy Amsterdam Pascale Hustings combines these skills in her art. Her work can consist of a three dimensional installation, she uses drawings, photoworks and she recently self published her third art photobook.
