Honorable Mention in Fine Art / Still Life

In a series of experimental photographs, "Infra-Sculptures" investigates the notions of the everyday through conceptual, readymade-like sculpture translated through the photographic lens. Drawing on the visual vocabulary of Pop Art established by modern masters such as Andy Warhol, the typology within the collection features cartons of liquid morphing, leaking, and struggling to maintain their shape amidst isolating backgrounds of vibrant neon colors.

Elli Asker is a multidisciplinary artist based in Stockholm, born and raised in Baku (former Soviet Union). Hold a bachelor's degree in political science. Without barriers in her creative research, she tries her hand at photography, collages, and various experiments. In her work, Elli investigates the relationship between experiences of PTSD healing, queer and immigrant identities.
