The photograph shows a bottom perspective of the external perimeter of the ancient Toscano's Palace in Catania. The building is located in Piazza Stesicoro at the corner with Via Etnea. It was built around 1870 as the town residence of the Paternò Marquises of Toscano, on a project by the Milanese architect Errico Alvino.
