A story behind the withered lotuses. A year ago, before COVID, the pond was brimming with lotus flowers and lilies. Recently, I went back to the pond, and what I saw astounded me. The pond was deserted, and the land was dried up, with just a few lotuses on the bank. All of which were withered, standing tall, resilient, and strong, beyond time. Like all living things, the lotus seeks for hope. It seems to be speaking in its loudest voice, despite losing its truest colors. Relying on its stem, it holds itself gracefully.
