The photos were taken in Aberdeen, Hong Kong. Aberdeen was a traditional town with fishing industry. These ships were idled due to the moratorium during the time. The fishermen were religious and they had a tradition to hang up flags writing a wish “May The Country Be Prosperous and The People at Peace (Chinese: ????). The national flags of China were also hanged due to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day this year. Different types of permutation in terms of lines, shapes and objects were shown in the series in order to symbolise the social order under the reign of HK
Born in 1997, born in Hong Kong, grew up in Hong Kong. She likes to visit different parts of the world as a traveller. She cultivated a street photography habit during her travels. Her works are mainly based on the principle of minimalism, composed of simple lines, patterns, light and shadow. She often uses a single subject and blank space to enhance the interpretation of her work.
