Moh Uvelkacem used to be an immigrant in France where he lived worked for a few years. Sadly, he noticed that there was nothing better than his motherland. Due to the racism he faced in a country which didn't value him as a complete citizen, he decided to return to his village in North Africa to take care of his family. He lived proudly off his land and took care of his olive and fig trees When I visited him he gave me a bag of dried figs and two bottles of olive oil. This photograph was exhibited in Scotland in September 2022 by the Glasgow Photography Gallery.
