A deconstructed conceptual image that examines our personal perspectives on beauty.

Jonathan Garcia Mainou is a producer, photographer and writer. Born in Mexico in 1980, he moved to Canada in 2000 to pursue his interest in filmmaking. Since then he has been working in film, television and photography. In 2004, the Berkeley Video and Film Festival honored him with an Award of Excellence for his short comedy Out of Character. My work incorporates storytelling through the use of creative titles as a tool to change the established relationship that one has with the elements of the city. The titles are meant to change the perspective of what one sees in the photographs.
