Every April to May in Taiwan is the festival of Mazu, the god of the sea. I have recorded wonderful pictures of the activities over the past few years. In particular, the characteristic of welcoming Mazu at Beigang Temple is the bombing activity of "Mazu sits in a sedan chair and sets off firecrackers". Believers pile firecrackers under the sedan chair. This is pretty crazy! Of course, the carnival has other wonderful performances.
