The Laoquijia tribe is a Paiwan ethnic settlement located at the foot of the mountain west side of the moutain on the north side of Chunri Township, Pingtung County located in the south-eastern of Taiwan. The local elevation is about 570 meters above sea level. At present, there are nearly 50 complete Paiwan traditional northern slate houses in the settlement. Most local residents have moved to new settlements , but they will still return to live while farming.
