Conflation A narrative of memory, place, and light. As a photographer, I’ve always had the sense of peering through time; past and present echoing. Stories set upon stories. Lives paralleled. In this series, I’m recalling images out of order, out of context, and combining past and current work (digital and film) to shift reality to the imagined. A personal histoire of the light I followed. The collage is intended to be found, not to alter the truth of the individual images, but to evoke the experience of seeing and to hold the liminal space of perception and creation becoming other.

Moody. Photographer. Proud. Fierce. Viewer of the World. Traveller. Passionate. Dispassionate. Sometimes Compulsive. Quixotic sense of humour. Outsider inside. Fortunate. Christopher Porter is a fine arts photographer based in Nova Scotia, Canada who has made images all over the world documenting the human landscape and his place within it. Moments and encounters transformed into connection and intimacy. His work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibits nationally and internationally and is held in private collections in Canada, US, France, England, and Germany.
