I began my career at The Australian newspaper in 1989. I joined Reuters News Agency in 1995, and covered news and sporting events in Asia, North and South America, Europe and Africa. In 2003 I was appointed Chief Photographer Australia, until moving to Beijing, China in 2007 as a Specialist Photographer. I have covered 10 Olympic Games, a total of 11 World Cup tournaments for soccer, cricket and rugby, plus numerous world athletics and swimming championships. In 2013 I moved back to Australia, where I now work as a Freelance photographer for AFP, Getty Images, Bloomberg and the New York Times.
