When I was traveling in Alaska last June, I had the opportunity to fly over the landscape. I began to recognize patterns in the scenery and shapes that created an abstract beauty. I felt like I was putting together a puzzle by associating the shapes: it was as if I wasn’t looking at nature anymore, but at an abstract system of connections and correspondences based on pattern recognition.
