I really like the possibilities that the contrast between light and shadow can provide. I like the way shapes and details emerge from their communion. Elements that, sometimes, go unnoticed by a distracted eye, unnoticed in our everyday life, gain new possibilities when you examine them more carefuly. Mathematical and geometry patterns can arise. But is it all? Light, shadow and geometry? What about feelings? What some images can do to your imagination? In that way, Black and White are not just opposite, but complementary like Yin&Yang, that can present some meaningful concept or feeling.
My first contact with photography was through a photography course in the late 70s. At that time I had contact with film based photography and especially B&W. By that time, I used to develop my own photographs. But without any artistic intentions. Then, life took me to the paths of Information Technology. My photos have just become a hobby, but I have always been fascinated by photography. In 2019, however, I decided to look at photography more seriously, more committed. I started sharing my photos on social networks and participating in Photography contests.
