Honorable Mention in Editorial / Photo Essay

It's a visual personal project about my family & me; it documents the interaction of our relationships during these ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, isolation & lockdown days in our home in Chittagong. My photographs show slivers of our daily life, hope, disappointments, expectations, loneliness, frustration & fears. Our joys overshadow the uncertainties we face. I was able to observe my family closely & discovered my weaknesses deeply. While struggling to capture this moment in history, I dreamed of a downpour in the desert. I felt as though I was drowning and tried to stay alive through our story.

Son of a freedom fighter; born in 1984, lives in Chittagong. He is a Humanist Documentary Photographer, Curator, Educator, social activist & Founder Director of VOHH Photography Institute, VOHH Foundation & VOHH FOTO FEST. Khan has won over 120 international awards in the field of photojournalism-Documentary; his photo series have been featured 150 International journals, in print media & TV shows worldwide & has been exhibited around 60 countries; his long term projects have also been the subject of teaching, lectures & research in many Universities & Organizations in The US & Europe.
