It is an everyday experience of street photographers that people feel uneasy when noticing the camera. This is understandable, because the subjects cannot be sure about the intentions of the photographer. But no one seems to be reacting similarly when street surveillance cameras are observing, albeit there are at least as many questions about privacy as in the case of the flesh and bone photographer. With my series I would like to draw attention to this contradiction. (The presented photos are mine but edited to have surveillance camera-like frames.)
