Honorable Mention BIFA 2020 Architecture / Buildings
This photograph was from a magical trip to Venice, Florence, and Rome in October 2019, just prior to the flooding of Venice and the onset of the worldwide pandemic that hit Italy so hard. My 2020 travel plans were cancelled as we await the new normal that will emerge on the other side of the pandemic.
Michael is a psychologist and educational researcher whose latent passions for photography and travel reemerged simultaneously in the mid 2000’s. Travel provides a purpose for his photography; and, likewise, photography provides a purpose for his travels. His search for photographic subjects is influenced by an evolving thematic, project-based approach.
