Simone Boon, Dutch born, is a fine art photographer. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the RMIT, Campus Hong Kong, 2010. Her photography developed into a unique approach taking form only existing when in transition, recognised in the philosophy of Bergson. The photos of series Mimesis III visualise the flow between inner and outer world. During Lockdown 2020, working on her own, blooming spring was the source for inspiration Simone created these photographs by subtle movement, colour, light and camera, unveiling transcending forms.

Simone, Dutch, lived from young age onwards amidst different cultures. This was of crucial influence in her art. A life between East and West made her aware of the different paradigms of perception embedded in each of us. The thought of impermanence permeated through life experience and became an underlying concept in her work. The thought, in reality form exists only in transition (Henri Bergson) became the source for her experimental photography. Her photos express an essence that goes beyond the moment here and now, a flowing identity from a feminine perspective.
