Feb 2020: In Australia we saw the world slowly shut down because of a virus we knew nothing about. The story was that someone sold a sick animal in the market. My 9yrd old daughter exclaimed: ‘who the heck would someone eat a bat?’ At the beginning that was the understanding of this pandemic in the eyes of a nine year old girl. As time went on her questions were more and more specific. What can we do, will we still have a home, will she see her friends or have playdates soon, etc… There was a lot of confusion in her mind and in all of ours. The future was and still is unclear to this day.
