Abushe, the Ethiopian miracle. Affected by Waardenburg syndrome, Abushe is a young boy from Jinka, whom I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time during my last trip in Ethiopia. Abushe is 12 years old and once in town, he asked me if I was pleased to meet his mother too. So he took me, first by tuk-tuk along the outskirts of Jinka, then with a long walk, to their home for introducing her to me (which has only one blue eye). The hope is that he can return to study and definitively leave the streets.
