Among millions of people around the world, we in New York City are also living in social isolation. Some of us are single living in an urban apartment. Wanting to convey the passing of time and emotions, I photographed at different hours. Also, I used some montage images to create the surrealism that I have felt during these weeks. Wishing everyone a safe journey.
Creating visual poetry to connect to others is always foremost in my work. I use images to create a narrative time in order to tell a story. For me the question is how to portray the complexity between our inner lives and external reality. Especially now when the scope of this pandemic lays bare all of our souls and fragilities.
