The Mauritians who live in Catania, over two thousand, represent one of the most numerous communities among those present in the national territory. Every year part of the Tamil faith community celebrates the "Cavadee Thaipoosam" ritual in honor of the divinity Muruga, considered one of the most popular and important festivals in the culture of southern India. In my photographic project, the aim is to show how a people, keeping their traditions and culture alive through a religious festival, manage to be well integrated in a context different from their own.
