This series aims to capture the beauty of silence and stillness while people go about their normal life, the mundane moments which symbolise grace, if we only pause to look and observe. All the images have been captured on black & white film.
Based at New Delhi, India, Prarthana Modi studied photography at Central St. Martins School of Art & Design and The School of Black & White Photography, London. A creative photographer, she captures all her images on conventional silver halide (black & white) film only. Her images are sold as limited edition, archival prints. The choice of black & white is because Prarthana likes to see the starkness of the situation, in the image - colours distract her from this. She has exhibited her works in solo & group exhibitions in India, London, Paris, Shanghai, Amsterdam, USA & UK.
