This is a story about a journey to distant places with mysterious surroundings in some faraway lands, presented in a dreamlike, surreal way. In this universe of confusing dreams we find personified animals as strange but gentle giant characters. They act as storytellers which guide us through these surreal worlds. With their presence they open a door to the universe which we cannot see in reality and make us think twice about the way we observe things around us. I want to share my dreamscapes and visions, its remoteness and beauty at the same time. Inspired by my childhood dreams.
Nikolina is a photographer and visual artist from Zagreb, Croatia. With her works she searches to underline the psychological and social aspects of our identity and effects that endless soul searching has on our lives. In her metaphorical presentations she uses the observation of inner conflicts and questions that arise from them, as as a dreamy and vivid example to show complex human emotions and drives, as well as her subjective personal experience of the world. Nikolina's work has been shown in numerous international exhibitions and several art projects.
