The motivation for this series was to capture the ‘relationship’ between different buildings located across from each other and forming part of the City of London. They provide office space for many of the City’s workers but despite their common function, their form sets them apart. Each is made from different materials and exhibits very distinct shape that further enhances the individuality and diversity of their architects’ vision. The decision to include subtle streaks of light in the images is to make them more dynamic, bringing those buildings to life.
I’m an avid, amateur fine art photographer currently based in London. I began my own journey with travel photography, aiming to capture the essence of each of the places I visited. Inspired by the contemporary environment of Singapore, I later focused my attention on cityscapes and architecture. More recently, I find myself attracted to nature and seascapes.
