JOY In a world often defined by conflict and division, JOY celebrates something simple and essential: our ability to connect, belong and experience the pure joy of being together. This photographic project captures the collective energy that emerges when thousands of people come together through music. Photographed during the Grøn concerts across Denmark, the series turns the camera away from the stage and towards the audience. Faces, gestures, raised hands, love and spontaneous happiness become the story. For a few hours, strangers become one, united by music and a shared moment of joy.
Morten Rygaard is a photographer who does not stop at dreaming. His camera takes his viewers on a journey where the dialectics of can and cannot are erased, and suspends them in a space where anything is possible. His photographs are used for advertising, album covers, magazine covers and for editorial use.
