In the heart of the Earth, where time stands still and the sun never reaches, lies a realm of breathtaking stillness - hidden within the endless cave systems of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. There, we discovered a unique heart-shaped cave that allowed me to capture the relationship between fragile human presence and the monumental architecture of the flooded underworld. To overcome the complete darkness inside, I used five high-powered underwater flashes to capture this image.
I come from the Czech Republic and I am a photographer above and under water.
