I took these photos while driving through Kansas. I thought I would just pass through quickly, but I ended up slowing down a ton. Everything felt open and plain, not trying to be anything grand. The roads, the land, and the small stops along the way all had the same easy pace. This series is just that first feeling of Kansas: grounded, humble, and welcoming.
