Littoral explores the narrow boundary where land and sea continually reshape one another. Working from the perspective of the shoreline itself, these photographs isolate forms often overlooked beneath our feet: sea foam, grasses, shells, jellyfish, driftwood, and feathers. Rather than presenting the Gulf Coast as a landscape, the series focuses on the subtle evidence of erosion, deposition, persistence, and renewal. Each photograph records a fleeting encounter with forms that may be altered, displaced, or reclaimed by the next tide.
David King is a fine art photographer based in Galveston, Texas. His work explores themes of stillness, light, time, and place, with a particular interest in the quiet details of the natural world. Drawn to the spaces where change is constant but often unnoticed, he photographs subjects that invite slower observation and reflection. Whether working in color or black and white, King creates contemplative images that reveal the beauty of ordinary moments and overlooked forms. Outside photography, he is a neonatal transport nurse, where precision, observation, and patience have shaped his art.
