My photo was taken in the Highlands of Iceland in July 10th 2025. I was driving in a remote part of the Highlands after heavy rains, and found while flying my drone a small basin filled with water. I captured this photo as it made me think of a dragon eye, because of the water color & the black sand surrounding it. I came back there a few days later & the water was gone. I love how ephemeral nature can be and this photo is the perfect example of the beauty of not lasting landscapes.
