My work titled “On The Road” (AI-generated and post-processed digital photographic art, 2024) explores solitude, displacement, and the fragile persistence of hope. By denying the viewer access to the subject’s face the image resists personal identification while inviting projection. The choice of colour and atmosphere balances melancholy with tenderness by contrasting the softness of the pink fabric with the inhospitable surroundings. “On The Road” is an image about being in-between: between past and future, to contemplate loneliness as a threshold where uncertainty and possibility coexist.
