It begins on the silver tracks of Japan’s Tadami Line in Fukushima, where the train glides through frozen valleys and mist-shrouded bridges. In Biei, Hokkaido, a solitary Christmas tree stands in quiet vigil under the starry winter sky. The adventure then drifts to Inner Mongolia, China, where frost and rime transform the landscape into an ethereal realm of ice-bound beauty.
