In a world that always asks us to keep our feet on the ground, there is a child, with their face hidden by a polka-dotted balloon. Every yellow balloon floating in the sky is a collective dream, a desire for freedom and hope that rises above the clouds. Behind the mask of the black balloon, there hides a part of oneself, an emotion not yet ready to reveal itself to the world. The innocence that dreams of a future without limits, free from fears and judgments, is hidden. It’s clear that, even when we feel hidden or trapped, dreams know no boundaries free and without limits.
Carmelita Iezzi is a freelance photographer, visual artist and professional graphic designer based in Italy. After graduating in Art School, Carmelita got her BA in Graphic Design and Fine Art Photography at the Design Academy of Ancona, Italy. She has achieved international recognitions, in 2023 Awarded Bronze PX3 Prix de la Photographie, 2021 Bronze TIFA, 2018 Carmelita was honored with the prestigious Sony World Photography Award with a work for the project "I am a dreamer" and was awarded First Place absolute and Gold in the Fine Art Category at the Tokyo International Photo Awards.
