Russia’s invasion unfolded in late February has caused catastrophic impacts on Ukraine. From mass graves in Bucha, destroyed buildings in Kyiv, to soldiers fighting in Kharkiv’s frontline, farmer’s storage came under attack and evacuation of the most vulnerable from Donetsk. These photos taken from March throughout July demonstrate the terror, consequences and pain of the war, and how Ukrainians withstand the invasion with unity, wisdom, bravery, persistence and altruism.

25-year-old Daniel Ceng is an award-winning Asian photojournalist covering politics, social issues, war and more across the world, including Europe, Middle-East, Asia, and Southeast Asia. Daniel, when he was 22, was one of the youngest photojournalists who entered Ukraine, where he documented the aftermath of the Russian invasion and its impacts on the Ukrainian livelihood. He has been working with several international news agencies, including Anadolu Agency, EPA Image , AFP, AP, ZUMA Press, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, and The Initium.
