This is a festival in the Noto Peninsula where I am based, and young people carry lanterns called "kiriko." The scene where they carry kiriko on the beach is very brave.
My name is Eiichi Yoshioka. I was born on September 28, 1986. In addition to photographing festivals in Kanazawa and the Noto Peninsula, I also enjoy street photography throughout Japan and overseas. My photography career was initially inspired by the incredible natural beauty of the Noto Peninsula. I have continued to be involved with the community ever since, seeking ways to contribute as a photographer.
