Contagion My husband was hospitalized recently with an infection. I stayed with him to care for him during the week he was there. We used photography as a means to alleviate both of our extreme levels of anxiety. My husband writes: She saw every picture in such clarity When they wrapped me in blankets and then ripped them away to pack me in ice, Diane held my shivering hand. Now one more fever one less dream. Diane stared at me. Through me, she saw me like no other. Stark against the grain. Her heart aching, the lenses shuttering. Me, suspended between layers of fluid in a darkening world.

Self-taught artist working with photography and photo-montage. My art has been called an important voice in the development of a true digital aesthetic. I view myself as an alchemist, using digital, alternative process, and traditional photographic tools to delve into fundamental human issues. My work is literary and emotional, full of symbolism and multiple layers of meaning. My images have appeared in numerous publications on photography and digital art. I've been a guest lecturer at many seminars and my work is included in museum, corporate, and private collections.
