One of the tallest buildings on the Shanghai skyline, the Jin Mao Tower has an angular exterior that belies the beautiful circular interior of the luxury hotel which begins from the 53rd floor. With a clear composition in mind, I had to hang out at the railing for about an hour—camera at the ready—until someone poked their head out from the balcony below to complete the composition.
