This series explores food consumption through satire as a way of creating identity relations, relating it to a daily context and popular culture. The different objects and spaces are understood separately, creating explorations between form and substance. Fantasy and reality are entities that are constantly conceptualized in this project and that configure relations between the private space and public accumulation. The elements and spaces were selected with different people from popular markets, who spoke of their personal relationships with the different foods, displacements and their homes.
David Jarrin (1997). I am currently studying for a degree in Visual Arts and Communication Design at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. I have studied architecture in Buenos Aires, thus influencing my production from canons and concepts related to this discipline. I am interested in topics such as the search for virtual identity, sexual dissidence, gender performance, and space. I have received the Jose Luis Hernandez Scholarship from the USFQ and a partial scholarship from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
