Due to human-induced climate change, fire regime changed rapidly, impacting the environment, lives, and properties severely. People dislike bushfire, but few of us acknowledge the integral role of bushfire play in nature, that is to return nutrients to soil, thin forest canopies and allow sunlight to reach the forest floor. These photos, taken a month after the bushfire in Luk Chau Shan, Hong Kong, documented the death and reincarnation of nature behind bushfire. The scenarios are violent, yet aesthetically pleasing. It helps us rethink the nature of bushfire and how it relates to our planet.
