The Missing Garden

This project is a new series for me in 2020, all those photos were take in Yumen, which is a city in west China, Gansu province. There used to be the biggest petroleum producing area of China 50 years ago and in that times there was even the most affluent city in the west of China. But after 1990s there has declined overnight because of the depletion of resources and increased oil production in other areas. Yumen city moved to another place where has better environment 70km far from old town, and now there is only a few people live here, looking at there "eden" which is going away gradually.
