Eight Rooms is a series of eight scenes - portraits - where people are captured in disturbing situations. My photography always reflects a contradiction between order and disorder, both in the physical world and a state of mind. Here I had the pleasure of working with actors from the Svanda Theater in Prague. Their acting skills went beyond the gestures of ordinary models, which gave me the opportunity to capture variations of possible stories hidden behind a simple look or move of the lip. The final explanation is left up to the viewer and his imagination.

Tomas Vrana is an internationally awarded photographer from Prague. Vrana studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and his work can be found in the collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague in addition to private collections. His work has been exhibited internationally both at group shows and solo exhibitions.
