On an early morning when unseasonal snow fell over Tokyo just as the cherry blossoms began to bloom, people hurried through the quiet streets while enduring the cold snowfall. The warm lights spilling from a café preparing to open, together with the blooming sakura in the snow, brought a small sense of warmth to the city. This photograph captures a beautiful moment in Tokyo as the season shifted from winter to spring. By placing the cherry blossoms and people in parallel within the frame, I succeeded in expressing the snowfall with its softest appearance.
