Photographed in August 2025 at a dam lake in Akaigawa, Hokkaido, this image captures the mysterious stillness of the pre‑dawn darkness. Under the quiet glow of the moon, the standing dead trees rose from the water like spectral figures, their reflections forming a second, ghostly forest beneath them. Though lifeless, the trees appeared ready to stir, as if the moonlight itself had awakened a hidden pulse within them. In this surreal moment, nature revealed a delicate boundary between silence and motion, between what has ended and what might begin again.
As a hobby, I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes and flowers in my neighborhood on my work holidays.
